Yoga as Therapy
Experience the therapeutic benefits of yoga in this small class setting under the guidance and expertise of Pam Roberts, one of Regina’s leading yoga therapists.
It has long been understood that there is a connection between pain and disease in the body with stress and the state of the mind. Scientific studies have proven yoga to be effective in managing pain, reducing stress, addressing musculoskeletal imbalances that lead to pain and dysfunction in the back, neck, shoulders, hips and knees, as well as a number of other health conditions. Whether you are struggling with low back pain, insomnia, asthma, attention deficit or some other health condition, Pam can develop a personal program that will assist you in managing your health condition through the practice of yoga.
We are keeping the Yoga as Therapy class size small. This ensures that you will receive the benefit of personalized instruction and adjustments in your practice along with the opportunity to experience community through meditation and breath work as a group.
Prenatal Yoga: The Khalsa Way
The Khalsa Way prenatal yoga stems from Kundalini Yoga, and incorporates gentle postures, stretches and strengthening exercises with meditation, mudras and mantras. It is a holistic approach to pregnancy and yoga that focuses on helping to prepare moms physically, emotionally and spiritually for pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood. These classes challenge and uplift mamas, encourage them to be conscious in their journey, and provide them with the opportunity to connect with their babies, their bodies and other moms. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
If your due date occurs during the time of the session you have registered for, inquire about arrangements for either prorating your fee or receiving a credit for the Mom & Baby class.
Private Consultation
Private consultation and assessment with Pam is available. It is recommended that you consider an initial private assessment if you are planning to attend the Yoga as Therapy class.
