Join Pam Roberts, certified iRest® Meditation Teacher for this 8 week iRest Yoga Nidra course.
This course is designed for students who have completed The Ease of Being: Introductory Course and want to deepen their understanding and practice of iRest.
In meditation we experience the truth of our innate wholeness that never needs healing, yet core wounds prevail at the level of our humanness, as a result of family, culture, genetic, and personal experience. Our core wounds cannot be resolved with the same mind that created them. During iRest, a nondual practice that emphasizes the integration and restoration of our body, mind, and senses to their natural functioning, we learn how to drop out of thinking mind and into the body mind, opening to the possibility of intuitive and creative insight.
Each week we will meet for teachings, intimate dialogue and meditative inquiry to learn and experience:
- How neuroscience informs our practice of meditation & yoga
- Simple ways to deactivate the Default Network and activate the Present Centered Network
- How to recognize core wounds within the seven energy centers of the body
- How to recognize opposites and to use them skillfully to access intuitive wisdom and true healing
iRest® (Integrative Restoration), is a trauma sensitive adaptation of the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra, that is uniquely suitable for a Western audience. This evidence based practice has been developed over the past three decades by Richard Miller, PhD, clinical psychologist, author, researcher and yogic scholar.
