The health and well-being or our students and staff is of utmost importance . To this end, we have implemented some changes to incorporate current recommendations by health officials.

Here’s what we are doing –

  • moving our classes outdoors, weather permitting
  • reducing class size to ensure physical distancing requirement of 2 meters, both indoors and outdoors
  • sanitizing high contact areas daily
  • sanitizing blocks and other hard surface props after each use
  • we will no longer be providing studio mats, blankets and bolsters
  • providing hand sanitizer and/or access to handwashing facility
  • if unable to adhere to physical distancing during private sessions, I will be wearing a mask
  • staying informed of local, provincial and federal guidelines as well as current community spread

Here’s what we need you to do –

  • if returning from international travels, please notify Pam as well as abiding by the Provincial requirements for Self-Isolating
  • sanitize your hands upon entering my home/studio space. Hand sanitizer will be provided at the entrance as well as in the studio
  • practice proper sneeze and cough etiquette
  • bring your own mat and blanket, as well as any other props you feel you may need
  • masks are not required, however if you would like to wear one when we are indoors, I encourage you to do so

I know many of us have missed practicing in community and are looking forward to coming together as a group again. It is of the utmost importance that we continue to be mindful of minimizing the risk of spread, in particular with so many restrictions being lifted in such a short time. It’s easy to get complacent, but to do so puts all of our health at risk. Our practice of yoga, and in particular iRest meditation, supports us in managing any stress, worry, fear and/or anxiety that we may be experiencing. I’m grateful to be able to offer this practices but will continue to monitor the situation and respond accordingly. If a decision is made to cancel classes, students will have the option of a refund or credit for future classes. As well, I am exploring other ways of offering these teachings and practices so they may continue to support your health and well-being in these uncertain times.
