Yoga & Meditation for Children, Youth & Families
We care about the children and youth in our community and are dedicated to bringing the practice of yoga and meditation into their lives. Our classes are non-competitive with an emphasis on building a community where children feel safe, nourished and connected.
Some of the children have been with us for years and yoga has supported them through some tough times in life. We are always hearing how much they love yoga and most important, we have a lot of fun!
Weekly Yoga Friends and Yoga for Tweens begin in September.
(4 to 9 yrs)
Yoga makes you feel good! This is a fun and creative class designed to bring the benefits of yoga, breath awareness and meditation into the lives of children. The practice of yoga builds a strong foundation for children to grow from, increasing self-awareness and building self-esteem. Yoga creates strength and flexibility in the body, improves focus and concentration, relieves stress and facilitates relaxation. Children have an opportunity to make new friends and experience a sense of community as they grow together in their yoga practice. This class is designed for children 4 to 9 years of age.
Yoga for Tweens
(10 – 13 yrs)
This class is designed specifically for Tweens, ages 10 – 13 years. The foundation of the class is based on YogaEd curriculum and Pam’s many years as an early childhood educator. It is designed to be challenging yet accessible for all students and most importantly, fun! Students will learn how to move gracefully, breathe smoothly and deeply and sustain their focus and concentration, while developing strength, flexibility, balance, mental clarity and emotional stability.
The class includes meditation practices inspired by Pam’s experience as an iRest Yoga Nidra teacher. Here’s what iRest has to say about the impact of this practice on children.

Yoga for Teens
(13 yrs +)
We invite young people to join any of the adult classes, inter-generational classes have much to offer all who attend. A recommendation is the Multi Level & iRest class on Saturdays.

Yoga Therapy for Children & Families
Looking for a way to support your child’s physical, social/emotional development? Pam offers family yoga and meditation as a private class to both families and individual children and youth. This is a great way to connect as a family and experience the benefits of yoga, and to learn together tools to feel safe, secure and connected.
